Though not all shadar-kai bind themselves to the Raven Queen, the majority who do typically organize their societies in a manner that best suits their goddess's objectives. Many choose to wear masks to hide their decrepit state from others and deceive enemies or potential targets. Their bodies appear withered from countless ages and plagued by swollen joints and coarse skin that only adds to their corpse-like visage. However, returning to the Shadowfell reveals their cursed state. While within the Prime Material Plane, shadar-kai often seem youthful and agile. As creatures of the Shadowfell, their shadows appear deeper and darker than other beings, while surrounding darkness hums about them as if reaching out. Many also decorate their bodies with various piercings and purple-inked tattoos. Shadar-kai have penetrating dark eyes that lack the white outer coating and clear pupil most other humanoids possess. Their disposition matches their alabaster to dark grey skin, with coal-black hair framing a dusky sallow complexion. As a result, the shadar-kai are often bitter, gloomy, disturbed, yet motivated creatures whose souls undoubtedly touch the darkness. The most unsettling quality is perhaps their lack of emotion, an unfortunate side-effect of their prolonged exposure to the Shadowfell. Their bodies are typically slender and athletic, and most stand around the same height as a human. While some shadar-kai have fair features and appear more human, most resemble blighted elves in an endless struggle between life and death. Many see the shadar-kai as a reflective manifestation of the eladrin, a dismal numb shadow to the bursting emotions that shift with the seasons. Bound to serve the Raven Queen, most devote their lives to disseminating her will, venturing between the Shadowfell and the Prime Material Plane. Once fey creatures like the rest of their elven kin, shadar-kai exist in an unnatural state between life and death. Of course, you can remove these intervals for beginner lessons or just to give yourself something nice and tidy. Once you've got the notes you want in place you have the option to indicate which note is the root note, and then have the program insert the relevant intervals for the remaining notes in relation to your new root. You click what you want, and click where you want them on the diagram - could there be a more simple interface? Next you add the note markers to your diagrams, notice I didnt say dots, because you can do much more than that! We have the option to insert circles, squares, triangles or diamonds, and these can be either solid or hollow. This allows you to tailor make your defaults to suit your needs, perhaps you want your digrams to look like a maple board, or an ebony look, or perhaps you want your diagrams to be designed to be printed in black and white with an absence of any colour. If you double click your new fretboard you have the option to customize it in any way you see fit. When we open a new page Its as simple as clicking the diagram you want on the left (horizontal of vertical) and clicking where you want it on the page. I only really use blank pages, but there are plenty of template pages you can use with various diagram layouts predefined - and of course you can create your own templates. As a sign of its pedigree - you just need to take a look at the UK Future Publishing family of magazines to see this product at work, I even used this program recently with Martin Goulding to put together his fantastic "Play Metal Now" magazine and DVD set, so before you even try to use it, you know you're going to be using something that the pros use. So, lets get onto the program and the diagrams it creates. This way everything is stored in one place so you can dip in on the fly and print out resources for your students or your own personal use. Here you'll be able to store all of your work in folders - this is perfect for a busy teacher, you can break everything up drop chords, pentatonic shapes, CAGED arpeggios, 4nps extended fingering patterns, symmetrical shapes etc. Next we have our organisation system - the diagrams gallery. You also have the option to create instrumets - so what more could you ask for? ok this may be an exaggeration, but whatever you need, you're covered here. The first thing to take note of is the sheer range of options we have here, aside from the obvious electric guitar (6, 7 and 8 string options with fully customizable tuning options) we also have bass (4, 5 and 6) banjo (4 and 5), madolin, Chapman Stick (8 and 10 strings) and even Bouzouki (giving us further options - Greek Trichordo, Irish (Zouk) and Greek Tetrachordo) I cant tell you how often I've had a Bouzouki student coming over and have had to hand draw his scale diagrams. Of course, there is a lot more to this program than just being able to draw a few scale diagrams, so lets take look at it in depth. If you're like me - you will meet that inevitable frustration when you cant draw scale diagrams, well the good people at Neck Diagrams finally have your solution. You're preparing a lesson for a student and its all there - you've used sibelius/powertab/guitarpro to write out all of your material, there are licks, exercises and maybe even chord diagrams. If you're a guitar teacher you will certainly be familiar with this scenario. P.S.-Dharma also wrote BOC’s song that was a tribute to Godzilla. Kadjo loved the experience so much she's since become a repeat customer, enjoying the food while remembering the memories from the first night there. There, they talked with the restaurant's owner, Youma Bah, who talked about immigrating from Senegal to Philadelphia, managing hardships and being resourceful when facing difficulties. In addition, he hosted the students for a site visit and African business tour in West Philly, which culminated in a dinner at the Kilimandjaro restaurant on 4519 Baltimore Ave. The president and chief operating officer of AFRICOM, Eric Edi, PhD, was a frequent guest lecturer in the course. We also learned about stories of the community members as African immigrants in Philadelphia," said Maéva Kadjo '24, a management information systems and business analytics major and real estate management and development minor, who took the fall 2022 course. It was also an opportunity for the students and community members to share their cultures with each other. "It was amazing to relate class topics to everyone’s lived experiences. Everyone shared their perspectives - and videos and articles found online - on the topics and the cultural offerings covered in the class. Every week, they discussed social, cultural and political issues during in-person experiences and through group chats and virtual forums using the GroupMe app. "Students from various backgrounds and origin bring rich perspectives to the discussions."Ībout 10 students and 10 community members participated in the course each term. "The most common trait is that these students are curious about the African continent and the cultures, as well as about issues of social justice," said Kouacou. Students came from different majors and countries to speak and write in French with native speakers and consume Francophone West African works of literature and film. Though a level of French proficiency is required for the course, a French minor is not. Students after sampling African food at Kilimandjaro. The course was so popular with both the students and community partners that after teaching it in the spring of 2021, he ended up teaching the class again in the fall of 2022 - after initially planning to teach the course once every two years. "I wanted to introduce Drexel students to the world of the African immigrant community and help fulfill the ambition of the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages of training students to become responsible citizens who are aware of both world issues and local concerns," said Kouacou. Throughout the term, students would study the oral history and culture of West Africa through literature and cinema, and then use their freshly acquired knowledge in face-to-face and virtual discussions with native West Africans living in West Philadelphia. The partnership led to the creation of " West Africa to West Philly" (FRENCH 350), an upper-level and community-based learning French class. But what to do? And how?Ī few months later, Kouacou had the answers after researching, reaching out to and later partnering with the Coalition of African and Caribbean Communities (AFRICOM), which supports the city's African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee communities. He also wanted to introduce students to the Francophone African community located close to Drexel's University City Campus. Kouacou knew he wanted to design a course using his expertise (he teaches in the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages at the College of Arts and Sciences), experiences (he has worked in media and international organizations) and background (he is from Côte d’Ivoire). Drexel supports faculty who develop courses involving Philadelphia neighbors and local organizations to combine experiential learning and civic engagement. I wanted our academic programming to reflect those values," said Parfait Kouacou, PhD, an assistant teaching professor at Drexel University.Ī few months earlier, Kouacou had attended a workshop held by Drexel's Lindy Center for Civic Engagement related to community-based learning and community-engaged pedagogy. "Following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020, racial injustice was ripe and ready to be discussed. I started thinking about a course that would strengthen the curriculum and support the University’s commitment to enhance diversity, inclusion, equity and anti-racism. Students discussing African small businesses in West Philly with AFRICOM President and Chief Operating Officer, Eric Edi, PhD, and Youma Bah, a Senegalese entrepreneur, at Bah's Kilimandjaro restaurant at 45th Street and Baltimore Avenue. Be it a dye color or a new armor blueprint, replaying missions to find undiscovered nooks and crannies can be a very rewarding pastime. Playing with a certain playstyle in mind can also result in the player unlocking certain achievements like “Soul Reaver” and “Sleeping on the Job”, which require the player to kill or knock out a certain number of enemies.įind Collectibles and Blueprints: Tangible in-game rewards can provide an additional incentive to play longer and Aragami 2 is no different in that regard. It can result in the player having to think up new strategies, find new hiding places, and generally change how they approach certain situations. For players who want to shake things up, playing with a different playstyle in mind can keep the game from running stale. In more simplistic terms they can be better identified as a pacifist run (spirit), a violent run (demon), or a stealthy killer run (ghost). Try Different Playstyles: The game acknowledges 3 different playstyles: Demon, Spirit, and Ghost. Provided the player does everything right, they can repeatedly get S-ranks on missions long enough to get the prestigious “Master Ninja” achievement. While the methodology to complete each mission may change depending on playstyle, it is a good idea to keep respawns and body discovery as low as possible while also trying to complete the mission as quickly as possible. Get an S-Rank on Every Mission: Completing a mission is fine but performing a mission with the maximum amount of efficiency can be a worthwhile goal.
